Alexia Antoniou is a storyteller who is absolutely delighted that her work has lead her to NYCCT. A graduate of NYU Tisch with a BFA in playwriting, it’s been her honor to help others tell their own stories, from leading creative writing courses to middle schoolers through University Settlement to guiding puppetry workshops for community members living with chronic illness with The Creative Center. When not teaching, Alexia can be found working as an educator and costumed interpreter at The Tenement Museum- or else writing and performing folk fiction with her band, Gawain and the Green Knight.
Today, we are reaffirming our promise to serve all of New York City’s children. NYCCT will continue to promote diversity, teaching children that everyone’s story belongs on stage – and that their lives matter.
