Kalle Macrides is a Brooklyn-based playwright, performer, and educator as well as the Executive Director of Adhesive Theater Project. With Adhesive, she produced and performed in the world premiere of Erin Courtney’s The Service Road, named as NYTimes Critics’ Pick and TimeOut NY’s Best Bet, wrote Adhesive’s production of NOIR, andco-wrote I, Object! and Kirby. Kalle has taught writing at NYU-Poly and Brooklyn College, led theater residencies in various NYC public schools, and directed numerous youth theater productions with Brooklyn Players. She strongly believes in the importance of arts education and artistic expression for all students and champions theater’s unique ability to create a meaningful community that values and supports each individual’s growth. Kalle holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, an MA in Performance Studies from NYU, an MFA in Playwriting from Brooklyn College, and is currently pursuing State Certification in Theatre at CCNY.
