Mackenzie McBride

Teaching Artist

Mackenzie McBride grew up in southeast Michigan and is now a Brooklyn based playwright, poet, and actor. She is a graduate of Florida State University where she received her BA in Theatre and has had additional study both in New York and London. Mackenzie’s plays have been produced by Taksu Theater Co., ESPA at Primary Stages, Durango Arts Center, NY Indie One-Minute Play Festival, and Typed Out Productions. Most recently, her play The Telling and Re-Telling of Lucy and Owen was featured as a part of the Playhouse on Park New Reading Series in West Hartford, CT and in the summer of 2017 she was an artist in residence at Marble House Project. As a teaching artist, Mackenzie works with New York City Children’s Theater, Marquis Studios, Wingspan Arts, and The Leadership Program.
