Andy is the Co-Artistic Director of Eat Drink Tell Your Friends, and a company member of the award-winning Wakka Wakka. Selected Credits include: Saga (Drama Desk Special Award), Baby Universe (Obie Special Award, Drama Desk Nomination, Helen Hayes Nomination), The Pigeoning, Made in China (Off-Broadway), and Petrushka with Giants are Small and The New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Upcoming work can be seen at The Center at West Park in May in the Object Movement Festival, and St. Ann’s Warehouse this June/July in Puppet Labapalooza. When not puppeteering, Andy is a voice actor for video games and a beatboxer for GoNoodle’s Moosetube.
Tell us about where you’re from! I grew up an hour north of the city. In the woods with old barns that my father turned into practically a petting zoo I spent my days running around goats, pigs, sheeps, ducklings, chickens, geese, and a few rabbits. I also sported a mean bowl cut.
Families should see The Little Red Fish… because puppetry is magical. While the kids may see the magic by virtue of having such young eyes, the adults will see something that may move them back into a place of wonder. Also it is a heart warming tale of the power of imagination.
