Pillowland's Eric Willingham

Eric Willingham | Stanley

Eric is a New York based actor born in Alabama. He’s an alumnus from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Stage credits include the first African American Brother Bear on The Berenstain Bears, LIVE! National Tour, (Owen) in Owen & Mzee The Musical, Off-Broadway. TV credits include a feature on HBO’s series “The Deuce.” I thank God, my mom Latosha (RIP Daddy), Grandma Jimmie and my team at Advantage and UGA Talent!

Tell us a little bit about where you’re from!

I’m a southern guy from Fayette, Alabama! We are home of the Golden Eagle Syrup. (Google that!) I love my hometown, but I moved to New York in 2014 and it’s no looking back!

If the King and Queen of Pillowland granted me a wish, I would wish for super powers! Doesn’t matter what kind, as long as I’m super human.

My favorite children’s book is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein because the message is timeless.

Three things most people would be surprised to learn about me are:

1. I like to collect different type of feathers.

2. I’m obsessed with avocados.

3. According to majority of my friends and family, I look a lot like the hip hop artist, Swae Lee.

Pillowland  is not like regular theater! You’re not just sitting and watching, you’re actually involved. That is rare for young and first time theater goers!
