Explore the Alphabet with Us!

Staying inside can be fun when you play, sing, dance, craft, and read! Join us as we explore the alphabet through children’s books, theater games, songs, and fun activity ideas for you and your little ones!

Read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr.

Then listen to the story as a song on YouTube and have a dance party while learning about the alphabet!

Play a Theater Game!

This activity is done in pairs. Decide what the relationship is between the two characters you will be playing (e.g. doctor/patient, teacher/student, etc.). Each sentence in the conversation must start with the next letter of the alphabet. Try to see how far in the alphabet you can go!

Tip: it can be helpful to have the alphabet written out somewhere to glance at while playing. It’s amazing how quickly we can forget which letter comes next while trying to create a story!
