NYCCT TYA Playwrighting Contest

Home can have a different meaning to everyone. Sometimes home can be multiple places. Home can be where you are now or where you grew up. For some, home can just be a feeling.

This year, we’re asking our Middle School Playwriting Competitors to share their experience of home.

To participate, students in grades 6-8 will write an original, entertaining and enriching 10-minute play based on this year’s theme: What does home mean to you?
