Jake Robertson of Please Bring Balloons

Jake Robertson

If I could travel anywhere in the universe… it would be back in time, because I love history and think it would be so fascinating to see it first hand.

Three things most people would be surprised to learn about me are:

1. I lived above the Arctic Circle for 2 months.
2. I have two amazing moms, who love eachother very much.
3. I have a black belt in Karate.

Families should see Please Bring Balloons because… it’s a beautiful adventure that celebrates friendship and imagination, two of the most important things for any kid from 2 to 92.

My favorite children’s book is… The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse, because I’m from a little town and sometimes I miss those simple pleasures.

Jake is super excited to be a part of Please Bring Balloons! He received his MA in Acting from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and he just played Hamlet in Torn Out Theater’s production in Central Park. Other credits include: Consent (Reading at Abingdon Theatre), Vatican Falls (Reading at Planet Connections Festivity), As You Like It (Shakespeare’s Globe Residency), How I Learned to DriveThe Producers (Princeton Program in Theater). Jake’s also a voice actor, improviser and comedy writer with a degree in Slavic Studies from Princeton. Finally, he’s the very proud uncle of the two best nephews in the world!
