We are so excited to introduce you to NYCCT’s four incredible apprentices for our 2019-20 Season!

Miranda Lee | Arts Admin Apprentice

Miranda Lee is a recent graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied writing, social sciences, film, and theatre, and was a frequent participant in her school’s Musical Theater Collective. In the summer of 2017, Miranda worked as assistant director of Bluelaces Theater Company’s original show All Aboard!, contributing to the development of an interactive sensory experience for children on the spectrum and with other disabilities. She also has experience working as a PR/marketing intern at the New York International Children’s Film Festival. Miranda is thrilled to work as an Arts Administrative Apprentice for the New York City Children’s Theater and to contribute her experiences and skills as a neurodivergent person to the arts!

Sarah Marksteiner | Artistic Apprentice

Sarah Marksteiner is excited to join the NYCCT team. Sarah is a performer, playwright, and arts administrator from Virginia. She graduated summa cum laude from the College of William & Mary, where she studied theatre and marketing. Outside the classroom there, Sarah served as Producer for the Sinfonicron Light Opera Company, as a troupe member of Improvisational Theatre (IT), and as the President of theatre honor society Alpha Psi Omega. Sarah earned highest honors on her thesis in Playwriting, for which she studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and wrote a full-length companion piece to Cymbeline called Lady Tongue. Her play placed as a semi-finalist in the American Shakespeare Center’s “Shakespeare’s New Contemporaries” competition. Sarah is a proud co-founder of the Class Act Players, a Northern Virginia-based theatre company dedicated to producing original work. Sarah hopes to continue bringing new work to life.

Emma Mueller | Education Apprentice

Emma Mueller is a senior at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and she’s thrilled to be one of the 2019-2020 Education Apprentices! She is an actress, writer, stage manager, educator, and all-around theatermaker.
