We’re so excited for summer – aren’t you? As we get ready for some fun in the sun, let’s make our own sun at home!

Tune in on Wednesday to see what’s happening this summer in NYCCT’s Creative Clubhouse!

Make a Sun with Us!

What You’ll Need

  • A Paper Plate
  • Crayons
  • Construction Paper
  • Safety Scissors
  • Glue

This project requires cutting a few times. If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup is helping you cut!

What To Do

  1. Color in your plate – we used a mix of yellows and gold for our sun! Then draw a face for your sun!
  2. Use your safety scissors to cut sun rays out of your construction paper
If you do not have safety scissors, make sure a grownup helps you!
  3. Glue your sun rays to the back of your paper plate!

And now you have a Sun!

Show us your Sun on Instagram @nycchildrenstheater or email a picture to creativeclubhouse@nycchildrenstheater.org.

If you enjoyed this activity, please consider making a donation to New York City Children’s Theater.

Your gift will enable us to continue the critical work we are doing right now and enable us to continue planning for the future.
