Sara Morgulis is an applied theatre educator and director who is dedicated to engaging young people through inclusive theatre practices. Sara is thrilled to re-mount Please Bring Balloons at NYCCT, after serving as the Associate Director of Education for the past six years. During that time, she has co-written and directed several touring shows and applied theatre workshops that have reached thousands of students in New York City’s five boroughs. In 2015, Sara received the TYA/USA Ann Shaw Fellowship Award, which funded a trip to London to learn about Oily Cart Theatre’s play development process. Sara used her research to co-create a touring multi-media musical workshop called FIVE, designed for students with special needs and the very young. Sara holds an MA in Applied Theatre from the City University of New York and a BFA in Acting with a Minor in Education Studies from Syracuse University.
