Students attend a Title 1 School Performance

During times like these, we are even more grateful for our community of support. We are passionate about continuing our commitment to serve New York City children and families and our artistic and educational community through this challenging time.

In this time of need New York City Children’s Theater sees even more clearly the need for empathetic, creative, and independent thinkers who make a positive impact on our world. As such, we are as focused and motivated by our mission as we have always been. The NYCCT staff is working hard to continue to serve our community:

  • Immediately after NYC announced that theaters and schools were to close, we made the decision to pay all of our Teaching Artist Educators and Theater Artists for the full value of their scheduled work through the end of June.
  • NYCCT is providing daily activities parents and children can do together at home. Each of these activities provide an opportunity for young people to practice their own creativity.
  • We are currently working with our DOE partners to provide our interactive curriculum through virtual platforms for students in homeless shelters and enrichment centers, and for students with disabilities.

We are able to do this because of you
